Woman and Dog Rescued in House Fire in Fayetteville

A WOMAN AND HER DOG WERE RESCUED MONDAY IN LINCOLN COUNTY FROM HER A HOUSEFIRE. MEDIA SOURCES REPORT, EMERGENCY PERSONNEL WERE DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE MONDAY AFTERNOON AROUND 3:20 ON WELLS HILL ROAD IN FAYETTEVILLE. UPON ARRIVAL TWO LINCOLN COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTERS WERE ABLE TO ENTER THE HOME AND PULL THE WOMAN OUT. A DOG WAS ALSO REMOVED. THE FIRE WAS QUICKLY CONTAINED TO THE KITCHEN AREA OF THE HOME AND THE WOMAN WAS AIRLIFTED TO VANDERBILT. BOTH FIREFIGHTER WERE TREATED FOR SMOKE INHALATION AND RELEASED.
