Even after the latest round of rainfall, the corn crop in some parts of Tennessee is suffering after a dry summer.
Some farms corn crop has suffered from a dry summer, but the drought conditions haven’t negatively impacted all of the corn in the state, some areas have survived.
Variations in the height of the corn and yield are due to some of the corn crops not pollinating because the heat was so high and the rainfall was so scarce in some areas.
Tennesseans can expect corn yields to be pretty low this year. Most of the corn has no way to recover from the drought conditions.
Soybeans are suffering too, according to most farmers.
