An Alabama robbery suspect was killed after shooting at deputies in Hardin County, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Hardin County Sheriff Department deputies encountered Jonathan Schutte, 33, of Ardmore, in a parking lot in the 4700 block of Highway 128 South.
When deputies approached the vehicle, Schutte reportedly got out and fired his weapon at deputies, resulting in the deputies returning fire and killing Schutte.
No law enforcement officers were hurt in the incident.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents are investigating at the request of District Attorney General Neil Thompson.
