A staple furniture store in the Southern United States is closing its doors for good.
Badcock Home Furniture & More, a retailer with stores throughout the South said it’s closing all stores.
Badcock has more than 380 stores in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia.
The 120-year-old company made the announcement on a social media post announcing up to 50% off merchandise.
The closures are linked to the bankruptcy of its parent company, Conn’s, the Texas-based furniture retailer that bought Badcock last year.
Conn’s filed for bankruptcy last week and is also closing about 70 Conn’s stores soon.
The Badcock closings will effect about about 3,800 full-time employees and 150 part-time employees.
