Ellen Lougilla Franks

Ellen Lougilla “Lou” Franks, age 96, of Leoma, TN, passed away on Monday, July 29^th, 2024 at NHC Murfreesboro. She was born on March 7^th, 1928 to the late Christopher “Doc” Freeman and Martha Elizabeth “Belle” Freeman in Summertown, TN. She was a member of Dunn United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, completing puzzles, listening to southern gospel music, and spending time with her loving family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Franks Jr.; son, Robert Dale Franks; grandson, Jeffrey Franks; seven siblings; special friend, Geneva Brown.

She is survived by son, Mike Franks; daughter, Susan Baggett (Van); grandchildren, Kimberly Brooks (Kevin), Amanda Sargent (Jeremy), Rob Franks (Shannon), Daniel Baggett (Holli), Elizabeth Nguyen (Nam), Madison Crowder (Tristen); great grandchildren, Ashley Brooks, Cooper Brooks, Blaise Franks, Emerson Franks, Laken Franks, Charles Baggett, Nova Baggett, Nolan Nguyen, Theodore Nguyen, Cohen Crowder.

Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Friday, August 2^nd, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Brother Scott Aleridge will be officiating.

Interment will be held at Center Point Methodist Cemetery following the service.

Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is in charge of handling all final arrangements.
