Veterans of Foreign Wars is organized into state Departments; and then into regional Districts that support the individual Posts in that region. In VFW’s 125-year history, no District consisting of ten Posts had ever earned the distinction of having every Post earn the coveted VFW All-American Post designation in the same year.

The VFW All-American Post designation goes to top-performing VFW Posts globally to recognize those who achieve the absolute highest standards, including exceptional support for veterans, their families, and the communities they serve.

Last year, the impossible happened in Middle Tennessee when retired Navy Chief Petty Officer Kimberly King led all ten area VFW Posts in Tennessee’s District 5 to earn the All-American Post designation, making Commander King an “Ace” District Commander. This year, lightning struck twice…

The All-American Posts in Tennessee’s Champion District 5 include, Post 4577 Pulaski, Post 1893 Winchester, Post 2167 Fayetteville, Post 4188 Tullahoma, Post 4575 Murfreesboro, Post 5019 Shelbyville, Post 5064 McMinnville, Post 5109 Lewisburg, Post 10904 Manchester, and Post 12206 Murfreesboro.
