Juvenile Found Dead In Lawrence County

A 15-year-old was found dead inside an RV at a park in rural Lawrence County near the Giles County line, according authorities.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office said the 15-year-old was found on July 6th.

Authorities confirmed that the boy had been inside the RV for close to three weeks. Residents at the park reported a smell coming from the RV and notified the sheriff’s office.

The boy’s mother was transported to a hospital for treatment and to undergo mental evaluations, authorities said. Both the teen and his mother were living in the RV. Both were said to have disabilities.

The investigation into the boy’s cause of death continues.
