Steven Allen Carter

Steven Allen Carter, age 75, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 24^th, 2024 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Steven was born on March 7^th, 1949 to the late John “Tiny” Carter and Lucille Allen Lyons. He worked for many years at Murray Ohio, he would later go on to be a truck driver and would retire as a school bus driver for the Lawrence County School System.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Carter; brothers, John Carter, Roger Carter, and Kenneth Carter; step son, Michael Shelton; nephew, Jason Carter.

He is survived by his children, Scott Carter (Marilyn), April Prince (Randy), Michael Carter (Jessica), and Josh Carter (Kenda); grandchildren, Madilyn Carter, Ethan Prince, Maggie Prince, Tyler Carter, Breanna Carter, Bailey Carter, Jocelyn Carter, Cora Carter, Daniel Carter, Owen Carter, and Kaleb Shelton; great granddaughter, Ava Mae Carter.

A memorial service will be announced at a later time.

Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is in charge of handling all final arrangements.
