County Commission Recognizes Big Gold Machine

The Lawrence County Commission recognized the Lawrence County High School Big Gold Machine Tuesday for their extremely successful 2023-24 competition season.  The group earned superior ratings in a number of competitions, took first place at the Rockvale competition, and received superior ratings at the Middle Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association’s Concert and Sight-Reading Performance Assessment.  In addition, the band will be awarded the Tennessee Bandmasters Sweepstakes Award at the 2025 Tennessee Music Education Association Professional Development Conference.
