MEMBERS OF MAURY COUNTY FIRE AND RESCUE WERE BUSY OVER THE WEEKEND RESPONDING TO TWO SEPERATE VEHICLE FIRES. ON SATURDAY MORNING AROUND 1:22 AM, UNITS WERE DISPATCHED TO A REPORT OF A VEHICLE ON FIRE ON HOWARD BRIDGE ROAD. UPON ARRIVALS MEMBERS FOUND THE VEHICLE FULLY INVOLVED. NO OCCUPANTS WERE AROUND AND THE FIRE WAS QUICKLY EXTINGUISHED. ON SUNDAY UNITS RESPONDED TO A REPORT OF A LIGHTNING STRIKE CALL INVOLVING A TREE AND VEHICLE ON LOOKOUT DRIVE. THE STRIKE CAUSED A SMALL FIRE AND RESPONDERS WERE ABLE TO QUICKLY EXTINGUISH BEFORE RESPONDING TO ANOTHER LIGHTNING CALL ON CARTERS CREEK PIKE.
