Card Skimmers Found at Lawrence County Stores

Many local residents recently filed police reports regarding thefts from their EBT, or food stamp, accounts, leading the sheriff’s department to launch an investigation. At least 13 reports of fraud had been filed, with losses totaling nearly $10,000. Investigators began checking card machines at area stores last week and seized card skimmers from stores in Lawrenceburg, Loretto, and Summertown.  Investigation into the matter is ongoing.
