Giles County Commission Passes Quarterly Reports

The Giles County Commission met in full session Monday.

As one of the first items of business, Sargent Eric Smith from the Giles County Sheriff’s Department was recognized as County Employee of the Quarter.  

A couple of Rules of Order changes were passed, quarterly reports, and budget amendments.  

By a 16 to 3 (two commissioners absent) the commission decided E-911 would NOT collocate with the Ambulance Service to the new Agri-Park facility.  

The resolution regarding Courthouse use and Phase I of the Courthouse renovations passed 18 to 1.
