The Tennessee Department of Transportation’s “Nobody Trashes Tennessee” litter prevention campaign is partnering with Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee to offer a new “Nobody Trashes Tennessee” patch. Troops of all ages have different ways to earn the patch, including by participating in litter cleanups in their communities. Girl Scouts are encouraged to participate in the upcoming third annual “No Trash November”, a month-long initiative encouraging Tennesseans to participate in clean up events across the state. This year, the initiative’s goal is to remove 50,000 pounds of litter from Tennessee roadways. In addition, troops may participate in the “Great American Cleanup” held between March and June, “Keep Tennessee Beautiful Month in March, or Earth Day on April 22nd.
