A LAUDERDALE COUNTY WORK RELEASE INMATE WAS TAKEN BACK INTO CUSTODY MONDAY NIGHT IN MUSCLE SHOALS. THE TIMES DAILY REPORTS TORRY HARRISON, 40, OF LEXINGTON, LEFT THE WORK RELEASE CENTER AROUND 7:50 MONDAY EVENING. A BOLO WAS ISSUED IN THE AREA AND A VEHICLE MATCHING THE DESCRIPTION HARRISON WAS OBSERVED IN THE AREA OF SINGING RIVER BRIDGE WHERE A TRAFFIC STOP WAS INITATED. THE VEHICLE PULLED OVER TO STOP, THEN LEFT TRAVELING AT SPEEDS OVER 110 MILES PER HOUR. THE PURSUIT WAS CALLED OFF AND A SHORT TIME LATER OFFICERS OBSERVED WHERE THE VEHICLE HAD RUN OFF THE ROAD. HARRISON WAS FOUND IN A CORNFIELD NEARBY WITH HELP OF A DRONE THAT A MUSCLE SHOALS POLICE OFFICER DEPLOYED. HARRISON IS BEING HELD IN THE LAUDERDALE COUNTY DENTENTION CENTER WITHOUT BOND. HE NOW FACES NEW CHARGES OF OBSTRUCTING POLICE, ATTEMPTING TO ELUDE A POLICE OFFICER, AND ESCAPE.
