THE LAWRENCE COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY WILL MEET SATURDAY, MARCH 18TH AT 1:00 P.M. AT THE OLD JAIL MUSEUM ON WATERLOO STREET IN LAWRENCEBURG. MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.

WALLACE PALMORE WILL PRESENT A PROGRAM ON HOW THE FAMILIES OF MCCONNELL, MILLER, AND WHITE ARE INTERTWINED. EMANUEL MCDONNELL WAS BORN IN MARYLAND IN 1757 AND SERVED IN THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR AFTER WHICH HE RECEIVED A PENSION. HE MARRIED MARTHA ARMSTRONG IN GEORGIA WHO HAD BEEN BORN IN SOUTH CAROLINA. THEY LATER MIGRATED TO TENNESSEE SETTLING IN MARSHALL COUNTY WHERE THEY REMAINED UNTIL THEIR DEATH. OVER THE YEARS, THEIR DESCENDANTS MARRIED INTO THE VEACH, MILLER, AND WHITE FAMILIES WITH THE MILLER AND WHITE FAMILIES RESIDING IN LAWRENCE COUNTY BY THE MID-1800S.
