ONE OF TWO BROTHERS COVICTED OF MURDER FOR THE DEATH OF SHOALS RESTAURANT OWENER IN 1999 DIED LATE LAST WEEK IN PRISON. MEDIA SOURCES REPORT, NATHAN LEE BOYD, 40, DIED LAST TUESDAY AT THE WILLIAM E. DONALDSON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY IN JEFFERSON COUNTY. BOYD WAS CONVICTED OF CAPITAL MURDER AND SENTENCED TWICE TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR THE MARCH 12, 1999, INCIDENT. BOYD, WHO WAS 17 AT THE TIME, ALONG WITH HIS BROTHER ERIC, WHO WAS 19, WERE SENTENCED AFTER DANNY SLEDGE WAS STABBED 27 TIMES DURING A ROBBERY AT HIS SHOAL CREEK RESTAURANT ON US 72 IN LAUDERDALE COUNTY.
