A LAUDERDALE COUNTY MAN IS BEHIND BARS AND FACING MURDER CHARGES AFTER A DRUG DEAL GONE BAD. THE TIMES DAILY REPORTS ROGERSVILLE POLICE WERE DISPATCHED TO A SHOTS FIRED CALL ON WEDNESDAY AROUND 2 PM AT ELK RIVER VILLAGE APARTMENTS. UPON ARRIVAL OFFICERS FOUND ONE MAN WITH A GUNSHOT WOUND. THE VICTIM, IDENTIFIED AS LARRY WAYNE SIMPSON, 37, OF ROGERSVILLE, LATER DIED FROM INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE SUSPECT HAD LEFT THE SCENE AND WAS LATER APPREHENDED AT A RESIDENCE ON LAMAR DRIVE WHEN HE SURRENDERED. CURTIS JAMES SHERRER, 22, OF ROGERSVILLE, WAS ARRESTED AND FACES CHARGES OF MURDER.
