Lawrenceburg Man Faces Charges of Attempted First-Degree Murder & Aggravated Burglary

A LAWRENCEBURG MAN IS BEHIND BARS FOLLOWING AN INCIDENT IN ETHRIDGE ON MONDAY. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, DEPUTIES WITH THE LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WAS DISPATCHED TO A HOME ON CHERRY STREET FOLLOWING AN ALTERCATION WHERE CLYDE CALHOUN HAD FIRED A GUN AT THE COMPLAINTANTS BOYFRIEND. AFTER THE ALTERCATION, CALHOUN RAN FROM AUTHORITIES AND WAS CAPTURED AND ARRESTED BY AN ETHRIDGE POLICE OFFICER AND TAKEN INTO CUSTODY. THE VICTIM WAS AIR LIFTED WITH A FACIAL WOUND ABOVE THE LEFT EYE WHERE CALHOUN HAD BITTEN THE VICTIM. CALHOUN WAS BOOKED INTO THE LAWRENCE COUNTY JAIL AND FACES CHARGES OF ATTEMPTED FIRST-DEGREE MURDER AND AGGRAVATED BURGLARY.
