A MAURY COUNTY MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED AFTER FRANKLIN POLICE FOUND HIM TO BE IN POSSESSION OF MORE THAN A POUND OF MARIJUANA.  ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE, JAMES JOHNSON, 26, OF COLUMBIA, WAS STOPPED SATURDAY EVENING AROUND 9 ON MALLORY LANE.  THE STRONG ODOR OF MARIJUANA LED OFFICERS TO DISCOVER THAT JOHNSON WAS TRANSPORTING MORE THAN A POUND OF MARIJUANA IN A LARGE VACUUM SEALED BAG.  OFFICERS SEIZED CASH ALONG WITH THE DRUGS AND PARAPHERNALIA FROM JOHNSON, WHO IS FACING CHARGES MULTIPLE DRUG AND FAILURE TO OBEY A TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE.
