RESCUE PERSONNEL FROM SEVERAL COLBERT COUNTY AGENCIES WERE BUSY OVER THE WEEKEND SEARCHING FOR MISSISSIPPI MAN WHO HAD EITHER JUMPED OR POSSIBLY FELL INTO BEAR CREEK.

ACCORDING TO THE TIMES DAILY, THE SEARCH BEGAN SATURDAY NIGHT AFTER REPORTS WERE RECEIVED THAT A MALE SUBJECT HAD EITHER JUMPED OR FELL FROM THE TRAIN TRESTLE ON BREAK CREEK NEAR BUZZARD ROOST AND RIVERTON TRAIL.

AUTHORITIES INDICATE INDICATE THE VICTIM, JORDAN FLANAGAN, 23, OF LUKA, MISSISSIPPI, ALONG WITH ANOTHER MALE HAD TIED THEIR BOAT UP TO THE TRAIN TRESTLE AND HAD CLIMBED THE TRAIN TRACKS TO POSSIBLY SHOOT AT TURTLES. THE TRAIN STARTED TO COME AND BOTH INDIVIDUALS RAN FOR THE EMBANKMENT. ONLY ONE MADE IT.

THE BODY WAS LOCATED AFTER SEVEN HOURS OF SEARCHING SUNDAY WITH THE AID OF SIDE SCAN SONAR AND UNDERWATER CAMERAS. COLBERT COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT HAS REQUESTED AN AUTOPSY TO DETERMINE THE EXACT CAUSE OF DEATH.
